Wine and Words Bookfest 2026 Preview

DelMonaco Winery & Vineyards in Sparta, TN, will soon host dozens of authors for the area's biggest book festival

We are just a month away from our 2nd annual Wine and Words Bookfest!

This 3-day event will be held March 6-8 at DelMonaco Winery in Baxter, TN. This year’s event is shaping up to be even bigger and better than last year, with themed days, more authors, more vendors and fun Wine and Words branded merch!

THE WEEKEND OUTLOOK

Friday

Beginning at 5pm, we kick off the festival in Plenty Bookshop style with a Poetry night (a nod to our Sawmill Poetry Series) and will feature two poets as well as an open mic portion.

Saturday

This day is jam-packed with authors, all day long! We begin our day with a panel featuring authors Annie Hartnett and Tessa Fontaine- a great starting lineup!

The authors and panelists will continue all day, with panels featuring genres from historical fiction to YA, fantasy to non-fiction. Authors will also be on hand to sign books in the tent following their panels too.

Over 15 local vendors will also be on hand selling items such as indie books, book themed jewelry, soaps, cookies and more!

Sunday

We close out the weekend with something especially exciting for you aspiring writers and future authors.

Our friends The Nashville Authors (composed of four bestselling authors) will lead a writing workshop, and an agent and book publicist will also be in attendance, sharing insider secrets and tips to help inspire you to get your book into the world!

Seeing that this event is taking place at the beautiful DelMonaco Winery, we have to take a moment to highlight the yummy food they will be offering each day! DelMonaco will serve breakfast, boxed meals, full service meals and appetizers throughout the event, and even brunch on Sunday.

Of course, there will also be plenty of wine!

All of this is available for purchase and not included with the event, as the bookfest itself is free to attend. They are known for their delicious menu and wines, and we are excited to have them as our Wine & Words location once again!

This Bookfest is an official event of Plenty Bookshop, and we will be on hand selling exclusive Wine & Words totes and tees, wine glasses and accessories, and, of course, books!

The event itself and all of the author panels and workshops are free to attend and, as always with Plenty, all book sales contribute to our non-profit mission of promoting literacy and raising book culture in our area.
