About the event

If you are a young adult/ college age student, we would like to welcome you to join us for this month-long lecture series. This is a FREE event, in which we will have various specialists and professors discussing Tennessee’s role in the building of our nation.

Even better than the fascinating lectures, each week we will have a meal catered that correlates with the era for the lecture that day. 

 October 1- Troy Smith: Indigenous Tennessee -Struggle for Freedom. Food by Indigenous Chef: Jody Mattena

 October 8-   Dr. Kent Dollar: Civil War in Putnam County and the Upper Cumberland  

 October 15-Dr. Mary Evins: These Truths Are Self-Evident: The America 250 Imperative and Tennessee Women Progressives
